Construction Pictures - July 23, 2008 And So It Begins - A New Era in the Chronicles of Dick's Market in Dorr, Michigan Steve is so busy with the new store, he hasn't sent me pictures since they opened last Friday. So we stopped in to do some shopping and exploring of our own. (Grand Opening will be first week of August, with Grand Opening specials throughout August and September - Stop in and see the shiny new store!! Beautiful!) Steve's narration would be better than mine, but this will have to do for now . . . Produce Department Bakery Meat Department Deli Happy Customer - Nice Wide, Uncluttered Aisles! Dairy, and . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The Walk-In Self-Serve Beer Cooler Check-Out Lanes, and Customer Service Desk. Construction Pictures from Steve Latest Pictures - June 22, 2008 Steve says: "Construction is proceeding very nicely. Projected opening date is July 17. Yikes! Only a month away. Preparation for the actual moving of inventory & equipment - then restocking it all, is just overwhelming. I’m going to shut down for three days and git-R-dun". "First few weeks will be soft opening to work out any glitches. We will likely have Grand Opening Sales thru August and into Sept.". That’s right, I’ve got my custom meats right out there front and center. Three spaces for rent. Anyone want to open their own shop next to us? How the store front looked on June 4 as the painters apply the EIFS coating material. Loading dock with opening for new trash compactor June 20 the building signage is up. Looks just like the early conceptual pictures! If you could make out the smaller signage, you would read "Deli", "Bakery" also "Sausage Shop", "Smokehouse". Painters are busy at it. Earlier Pictures - Steve says, "There are so many improvements for us over the outdated facility we are at now, it has everyone very excited. From the all new full size Deli/Bakery - that is a given in larger stores, to the new compressor system that runs it all without the constant breakdowns I have had to deal with over the years."
